UVCF - Profile
The University Vice Chancellors’ Forum (UVCF), constituted in 1997, was established by a dedicated group of Vice Chancellors and Heads of Institutions who recognized the value of having a united voice and sharing lessons on mutual concerns. UVCF enhances the sharing of knowledge, information, and practices, and advises the government on various policies to promote university education. Additionally, it publishes works and engages in activities aimed at promoting higher education in Uganda.
Forum members include Vice Chancellors and Heads of Institutions from all recognized universities in Uganda. Representatives from the Ministry responsible for Education and the National Council for Higher Education are granted observer status, and the Forum may extend observer status to any suitable person or relevant body.The Forum is open to collaborations and partnerships, welcoming initiatives that align with its mission to advance higher education in Uganda.
