Secretariat

The Uganda Vice Chancellors’ Forum (UVCF) Secretariat serves as the administrative and coordinating hub of the Forum, providing strategic leadership and operational support in advancing excellence in higher education across Uganda. The Secretariat is headed by Prof. Eriabu Lugujjo, Executive Director, a former Vice Chancellor of Ndejje University, who provides leadership in advancing the Forum’s strategic objectives and institutional mandate.

The Secretariat coordinates the implementation of UVCF programmes, facilitates engagement among member institutions, strengthens strategic partnerships, and supports policy advocacy, research, capacity building, and inter-university collaboration. Through these functions, it promotes knowledge sharing, collective action, and the development of innovative solutions to challenges facing Uganda’s higher education sector.

Committed to innovation, quality, and service excellence, the Secretariat works closely with universities, government agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders to promote a responsive, competitive, and globally relevant higher education system. Through these collaborative efforts, the UVCF Secretariat contributes to strengthening institutional capacity, influencing higher education policy, and advancing Uganda’s national development agenda.
