14th Annual UVCF Conference 2025
Theme: “Delivering Quality Higher Education in a Challenging
Economic Environment”.
The 14th Annual Conference of the Uganda Vice Chancellors’ Forum (UVCF), held on 16–17 October 2025 at Best Western Hotel, Entebbe, convened Vice Chancellors, policymakers, industry leaders, and higher education stakeholders to examine strategies for sustaining quality higher education amid economic challenges. Through keynote presentations, expert panel discussions, and collaborative deliberations, participants explored innovative university financing models, curriculum reform, research and innovation, digital transformation, governance, and strategic partnerships.
Resolutions
The conference adopted key resolutions emphasizing financial sustainability, competency-based education, strengthened research and industry collaboration through the Triple Helix + Society model, enhanced digital connectivity, improved institutional governance, expanded access to higher education, and greater inter-university collaboration. The conference reaffirmed the collective commitment of universities, government, and development partners to building a resilient, innovative, and globally competitive higher education sector that contributes meaningfully to Uganda’s national development.
