Capacity Building workshops
The Uganda Vice Chancellors’ Forum (UVCF) regularly organizes capacity-building workshops and professional development programs for leaders, administrators, academic staff, and other stakeholders in higher education.
These workshops provide a platform for knowledge sharing, policy discussions, skills enhancement, and collaboration on emerging trends and challenges affecting universities and degree-awarding institutions in Uganda.
Through these engagements, UVCF continues to strengthen institutional excellence, promote best practices, and support the advancement of quality higher education across the country.
CBET Training Workshop: Conducted on 25th–26th June 2026 at K Hotels, Entebbe, under the theme “Making CBET Work: Practical Institutional Experiences,” the training provided a platform for sharing best practices and strengthening the implementation of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) in higher education. Academic Registrars’ Training Workshop: Held on 7th–8th May 2026 at K Hotels, Entebbe, under the theme “Strengthening Academic Registries Through Practice & Benchmarking,” the workshop focused on enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of academic registry operations across institutions. Financial Managers’ Workshop: Held on 25 April 2025, the workshop focused on the theme, "Enhancing Financial Management and Resource Mobilization in Higher Education Institutions," bringing together finance leaders to explore strategies for sustainable financial management and resource mobilization. Academic Registrars’ Training Workshop: Conducted from 17–18 July 2025 at Hotel Horizon, Entebbe, under the theme, "Enhancing Admissions Processes and Academic Programme Management in Higher Education Institutions," the workshop provided a platform for Academic Registrars to strengthen institutional admissions systems and academic programme management practices.
