UVCF Secretariat Pays Maiden Courtesy Visit to Jeph International University
The Uganda Vice Chancellors’ Forum (UVCF) Secretariat, led by Prof. Eriabu Lugujjo, Executive Director, paid a maiden courtesy visit to Jeph International University, where the team was received by Prof. Isaac Okullo, Vice Chancellor.
The engagement provided an opportunity for the Secretariat to learn more about the University and discuss key issues affecting the future of higher education in Uganda, including curriculum harmonisation, competency-based education, educational quality and skills development, university governance, academic capacity building and the development of national academic depositories.
Discussions also explored the need for greater alignment of curricula and competencies across universities, particularly in professional disciplines such as medicine, while maintaining institutional innovation and relevance.
The maiden courtesy visit provided an opportunity to strengthen engagement between Jeph International University and the UVCF Secretariat on issues shaping the future of higher education in Uganda.
