Quality Assurance in the Evolving Complex Landscape of Higher Education Delivery

The Uganda Vice Chancellors’ Forum (UVCF) successfully organized a two-day Quality Assurance Training Workshop on 4th–5th July 2024 at Horizon Hotel, Entebbe, under the theme “Quality Assurance in the Evolving Complex Landscape of Higher Education Delivery.” The workshop brought together more than 75 Quality Assurance Directors and Officers from public and private universities across Uganda to strengthen institutional quality assurance systems and promote excellence in higher education.The workshop provided a platform for participants to engage in expert-led discussions, interactive learning sessions, and professional networking aimed at addressing emerging challenges and opportunities in higher education quality management. Key discussions focused on strengthening institutional quality assurance frameworks, enhancing teaching and learning, leveraging technology, promoting research excellence, and improving monitoring and evaluation systems.

The workshop concluded with a reaffirmation of the critical role of quality assurance in enhancing institutional performance, academic excellence, and stakeholder confidence within Uganda's higher education sector. Certificates of completion were awarded to all participants in recognition of their successful participation and commitment to advancing quality assurance practices in higher education institutions
